A680™ Bio-Haz Bond

Solidifies bodily fluids

A680 BIO-HAZ Bond bonding agent is an environmentally friendly solidifier of Bodily fluids (blood-borne pathogens), Urine, and Vomit (MSDS available). The Code of Federal Regulations, as published in the Federal Register Vol.56, no.235, Part 1910 (amended) Subpart Z (amended) section 1030 states that blood-borne pathogens, which include human blood , blood components, products made from blood, and all other body fluids are potentially infectious materials and must heretofore be handled and disposed of a Regulated Waste. This section also requires employers having employees with occupational exposure to develop and maintain a written Exposure Control Plan. This plan includes exposure determination, procedures, and housekeeping requirements.

A680™ BIO-HAZ BOND can help reduce the risk of exposure and contamination by changing the liquid fluids into solidified form, thus reducing the potential for splashing, spilling, or splattering.

A680 BIO-HAZ BOND is a dry granular material used to immobilize bodily fluids, blood, urine and vomit spills. A680 will bond the liquid and reduce the possibility of being contaminated by splashing, spilling or splatters. Educational and transportation personnel can use A680 as a very fast acting solidifier which has been formulated to also reduce the odor of these spills immediately by adding a pleasant scent that is activated during the bonding process. This will help reduce the domino effect in vomiting situations.

The amount of product to be used depends on the type of spill and which of the fluids is being solidified. Spread A680 evenly in the surface of spill, and allow solidification process to occur. Some examples of the bonding ratios are:

FLUID RATIOS: Blood 18:1 Urine 21:1 Vomit 15:1

Extreme caution must be exercised when handling, storing and disposing of solidified or gelled hazardous materials. COMPLIANCE: Solidified or gelled materials must be disposed of in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations. The user is solely responsible for compliance with disposal of solidified or gelled materials.
